Partage Club is a digital platform designed for item sharing rather than selling. Think of it as Facebook Marketplace鈥攐nly here, every transaction is about lending, not buying or selling.

To quantify Partage Club鈥檚 social, environmental and economic impact, the Montreal-based app partnered with Sanjith Gopalakrishnan, an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at 91丝瓜视频 Desautels. The analysis found that each time a neighbour shared an item through the app, it was equivalent to a $58 savings.

Over the course of the academic year, the items users borrowed from each other saved an estimated 400 kilograms of waste.聽聽
