Across these registe rs\, the conference asks how writers\, filmmakers\, journalists\, artists\ , women\, queer\, trans\, and other marginalized cultural producers have w orked against silencing\, and how the humanities might recover\, read\, an d re-politicize what has been censored. \n\n We welcome proposals from grad uate students and early-career researchers across the humanities and socia l sciences\, including literary and cultural studies in any linguistic tra dition\, political science\, history\, gender and sexuality studies\, medi a studies\, digital humanities\, translation studies\, and related fields.  \n\n Keynote speakers \n\n Ariadna Molinari Tato \n\n Literary translator an d educator\, National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) \n\n Keynote  ·  Friday\, 16 October 2026 \n\n Ariadna Molinari Tato is a literary transl ator and educator based in Mexico City. She studied English Literature and holds an MA in Comparative Literature from the National Autonomous Univer sity of Mexico (UNAM)\, where she has taught literary translation since 20 08. She has translated more than one hundred books for Penguin Random Hous e\, Planeta\, Océano\, and several independent presses\, with authors rang ing from Joyce Carol Oates and Hilary Mantel to Shirley Jackson and George R.R. Martin. Her award-winning work spans Aphra Behn and the landmark fem inist anthology This Bridge Called My Back. She coordinates academic activ ities for the Mexican Association of Literary Translators (Ametli). \n\n   \n\n Philip Tuxbury-Gleissner \n\n Associate Professor\, Trinity College Dub lin \n\n Keynote  ·  Saturday\, 17 October 2026 \n\n Philip Tuxbury-Gleissne r is Associate Professor at Trinity College Dublin\, where his research ta kes interdisciplinary approaches to East Central European and Russian cult ure in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Educated at the Universit y of Kiel and Princeton University\, he previously held a professorship at The Ohio State University. His work engages periodical studies\, digital humanities\, queer studies\, media studies\, and migration across literatu re\, film\, print culture\, and social media.
