I am incredibly grateful to Ms. Heather Sokoloff and Mr. Lev Bukhman for their generous financial support through the Lev Bukhman Internship Award in Arts. This award gave me the opportunity to pursue my passion this summer with the Post-Conflict Research Center (PCRC). As a rising senior at 91˿��Ƶ, pursuing a major in Honors History and minors in Arabic Language and Political Science, I have explored the humanities in depth.

I am an undergraduate student in Honours English Literature and Political Science at 91˿��Ƶ, with a particular interest in questions of place and local history. Passionate about Montreal’s unique poetic history, I was drawn to Poetry Matters due to its emphasis on poetic community and networks of exploration. An initiative based out of 91˿��Ƶ’s English Department, Poetry Matters aims at fostering conversations surrounding the history of poetry at 91˿��Ƶ and in Montreal.
